Brympton House Wedding Venue

Brympton House Wedding Photographer

A wedding in a venue that has standing since 1434. You must be looking at a Somerset Wedding venue and that venue is Brympton House. This has to be one of my favourite wedding venues in the South West. The backdrop it offers shows off my wedding photography to its fullest. When I get asked to photograph a Brympton House wedding I got excited, to say the least.

Lianne & Dale

Lianne and Dale are beautiful examples of human beings. kind, caring, relax with an appreciation of life. Family and friendships are both important to them. Their wedding was a way of bringing all of it together. This needed a grand venue and their choice of Brympton House was perfect.

Brympton House is a Somerset manor house with epic grounds and equally awesome interiors. The grand ballroom is flooded with beautiful window-light and to top it off it. Also has its own church, yes that’s right a church on site!

Here are a few of the highlights from the wedding day for you to browse through, I think you’ll agree they made the right choice of wedding venue.

Brympton House Wedding Photography – Preparation

Having a venue of this size gives you the option of all parties getting ready on-site. I’m sure the use of 31 bedrooms might be enough for most celebrations. Lianne and Dale made the most of this in the morning. Welcoming their guests with bacon sandwiches and other brunch items to help everyone last the day ahead.

Just look at that light in the preparation room! Right from the word go Brympton House. These are spoils you with beautiful architecture and light flooding in from well-designed spaces, a true manor house.

Lianne had her bride tribe around her all morning and the mood was jolly. These but there were glimpses of the thought of the day ahead in Lianne’s eyes every now and again.

Meanwhile, in the main house. Dale and his groomsmen were having a lot of fun with my second photographer Rachel. I think you’ll sense the mood of the occasion in the photos above. Rachel did a great job of capturing the fun the boys were having.

Ceremony

Wandering from the bridal suite to the church is a Brympton House wedding photographer’s dream, a sunny stroll around Bath stone walls to the ceremony, a church on site. Dale waiting patiently all the time being ribbed by his groomsmen, par for the course for these guys. My favourite photo from this part of the wedding is that look over Lianne’s shoulder by her mother, moments within moments are my favourite thing to spot, that’s what Documentary wedding photography is all about.

Reception

Ceremony over in the beautiful church interior and we ventured into the sunshine, it was blinding! Lianne and Dale were welcome to their married life with confetti, the traditional way. This point of the wedding day is where the majority of my documentary photography is capture all the hugs and kisses while everyone starts to relax and enjoy themselves. When I get a chance to scurry away for a little bit I’ll always visit the reception room before everyone sits down to see what details have laid out. Lianne and Dale did not disappoint, the ballroom looked amazing and who doesn’t like a gold cake!

Portraits

How lucky were we? Magnolia trees flower and shed the flowers within a week. I spotted this tree on the entrance to this Brympton House wedding and decided it had to feature in their portraits. It has yet to surpass as my favourite spring wedding photo. What do you think?
